All students are automatically covered, at no charge, by The University of Queensland’s corporate policy. This cover starts on the first day of orientation at the host institution and is valid for the first semester or 6 months (whichever is longer) with 5 extra days before or after that period. From 2009, students may be required, by the host institution, to purchase insurance from that University’s preferred insurer. Enquiries regarding this matter may be directed to the UQ Abroad Office after the commencement of Semester 1, 2009.
